Covers the clinical and logistical basics of whole blood use outside the hospital, including indications, collection, storage, transport, and transfusion. Built for medical teams establishing or improving a prehospital or austere blood program to deliver blood safely and confidently near the point of injury.

Based on the U.S. military standard for battlefield trauma care, focusing on severe bleeding, airway compromise, and breathing problems. Students practice care under fire, tactical field care, and casualty evacuation in realistic scenarios.
This is our specialty. R2MG’s key staff include founding members and thought leaders of the Prolonged Field Care and Prolonged Casualty Care working groups, the people who helped define how the field is practiced today. PFC/PCC prepares medical personnel to manage critically injured patients for hours or days when evacuation is delayed or unavailable. Training covers extended patient monitoring, resuscitation, nursing care, telemedicine consultation, and sustaining life in austere conditions.
